At Dryden Central School District, We believe that a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment promotes learning and growth.

That's why we value the work and diligence of our District Safety Personnel, Mr. Justin Williams and Mr. Rob Reyngoudt.

Students at Dryden Elementary School often see and interact with Mr. Williams throughout their school day, but many of them are not quite sure what he does. DES principals thought it would be a good idea to have a fun way to better introduce Mr. Williams to students, so 2nd grade teacher Lacey Brown worked with Mr. Williams to put together a book:

"The goal of the book was to introduce students to Mr. Williams, his role in our school, and some of the responsibilities he has throughout the school day in a kid-friendly way so students would understand what he does and feel comfortable around him."

Ms. Brown collaborated with Mr. Williams in putting together the book, making sure to include parts of his job that he felt were important for students to know and understand. Together, they created a story that is accurate and easy for students to understand and connect with on their level.
