It was an especially exciting Dryden Homecoming this year, as we had the opportunity to showcase our #LionPride on News Channel 9 during Friday Morning Lights.
Syracuse news anchor and Dryden alum Ryan Dean returned home to his roots to report live from the field he once played on. He was happily welcomed home by many staff members who taught and remembered him, and he even brought along his graduation cap and yearbook to show off.
We were so proud to have the opportunity to celebrate Linda Bruno once again for her 50 years (and counting!) at Dryden Central School District. She also taught Ryan, and was excited to share what Dryden and teaching means to her.
Our student section had an amazing turnout, with members of the cheerleading squad, band, football team, and other fall athletes showing up bright and early in the frigid weather to show off their #LionPride.
Not shown on camera was our incredibly dedicated administrators, who took the time and effort to grill pancakes for the students and staff members to enjoy a breakfast together at the end of the broadcast.
We could not be more proud of the school community we have and the educators, students, and community members who remind us everyday what Lion Pride is all about.
Thank you Ryan Dean, Kate Thornton, and the News Channel 9 team for spending the morning with us!
