Due to forecasted heavy snow for the next two hours, a period in which we would be transporting children to school, the Dryden Central School District is now closed today, Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Lion Reminder:

Saturday, November 8, 2025 is a #LionPride Day all the way around the MS/HS Campus. As we prepare for the MS Musical: “The Wizard of Oz” to hit the stage at 11:00 AM (You can also catch "The Wizard of Oz" on 11/7 at 7:00 PM) and our Dryden Lions prepare to participate in their sectional semi-final football game, which is being held at Dryden beginning at 1:00 PM, please see the maps regarding parking and shuttles this Saturday for these two events. We have plenty of parking for both events, especially given that the events are offset of each other.

In addition, the District has added two shuttle bus runs to support Saturday's events,  as well as give people another option as it relates to parking this weekend for events at the MS/HS. The District will operate two shuttle bus runs between DES and the MS/HS from approximately 10 AM-4PM at approximately 15 minute intervals. The DES shuttle bus stop is located at the front entrance of DES facing Union Street and the MS/HS Shuttle Stop is located just outside the normal MS/HS drop off location by the Auditorium.

Muscle Woman Visits Third Grade!

In Mrs. Preston and Mrs. Frailey’s third-grade class, students are learning all about the systems of the human body! To introduce the muscular system, Mrs. Preston transformed into her alter ego — Muscle Woman!

Students made connections between the skeletal and muscular systems, discovering how their bodies move and grow.

A big thank-you to our amazing teachers for making learning interactive, engaging, and meaningful for our students! 💜🦁

DHS Garden Club is hosting our 4th Annual Harvest Festival this Saturday!  This year we have student and staff craft vendors as well as student musicians, games & contests for kids of all ages, a bake sale & hot cider, and a cider press demonstration & tasting.  We hope to see you there!

The National Honor Society will be holding a Pizza & Pastries fundraiser before the Friday night showing of the middle school musical The Wizard of Oz. The event will be held outside the high school cafeteria and it will include pizza, light bites & beverages. Prices are all based on donations.

We are looking for family members of Dryden students who would like to serve on the district Technology Committee. The Committee meets at Dryden Elementary School from 3:45 to 5:00 on the fourth Monday of the month. This year we are updating our Technology Plan and would appreciate input from our community. We would also like to thank Shelly Stuart for serving in this role for several years.
